Standard Membership Plans

There are three types of standard memberships:

  • Prepaid Spot Use: Kitchen time is reserved for one session, and the reservation/use fee is paid in full at the time of reservation via the booking site. This allows complete flexibility as to kitchen use, but is subject to availability and carries the highest hourly rate. This membership type is a good fit for intermittent use patterns or when just getting started and cannot yet estimate your required work hours accurately.
  • Prepaid Recurring Use: Kitchen time is booked as needed on a regular basis. Members utilizing this reservation method enjoy priority scheduling over spot use and receive an hourly discount relative to the spot use rate. Reservation credits are prepaid at the prevailing rate based upon frequency of use (membership tier) and do not expire. The per-hour rate will be adjusted based upon prior period use.
  • Postpaid Monthly Membership: High volume users of the kitchen may elect to convert to a monthly flat rate for kitchen use, said rate dependent on duration and frequency of use. Hourly charges will no longer apply, and members do not have to watch start/stop times closely to avoid overcharges. However, this does not imply unlimited use. Use will be monitored on a monthly basis and the rate adjusted accordingly if there is a recurring significant variation from the agreed upon reserved duration. Members utilizing this option will have priority scheduling and guaranteed time in the kitchen to meet their schedule needs. Postpaid members may be required to vacate if they stay significantly beyond their expected time and other members have reserved all available slots.

Each membership type affords the member to designate their session reservation as shared use or exclusive use.

  • Shared use: Other members may be using the kitchen at the same time as you. However, reservation slots are limited as to the type of equipment/work area needed in order to limit resource contention and traffic through the same work area. Additionally, every effort is made to stagger arrivals and departures so there is not competition for the dishwashing facilities.
  • Exclusive Use: Large operations or member businesses preparing multiple items at once (e.g. caterers preparing for a multi-course event) may require exclusive use to be able to make efficient use of the facilities. Exclusive use of the kitchen carries an hourly surcharge over the usual shared use rates and requires advance notice to block off the schedule.

Members may join under any plan type. Members may elect to change their membership type at any time, so long as their account is paid up and in good standing. Members on the prepaid recurring use or postpaid monthly plans may book additional time in excess of their contracted amount on a prepaid spot use basis as needed.

Cold Pack Membership Plans

These plans are designed for members who only require our kitchen facilities to package their raw product. Examples include cold salads, baking mixes, charcuterie, etc. These plans do not include use of the cooking equipment (ovens, fryer, charbroiler, warmers, etc). Product mixing and packaging facilities are provided at a reduced rate from the standard plans. If your product requires hot process packing (cooking, canning, Pasteurization, etc.) a standard kitchen membership is required.

Mobile Base Station Plans

These plans are designed for food trucks and other mobile vendors who will do the majority of their cooking at the vending location, but require a partner base station to meet County santiation requirements. Members who prepare their product in our facility should select a standard membership plan instead. These plans are custom-tailored to the individual members requirements.
