Internet and Telephone Access

Haddon Kitchen Incubators provides basic internet access free of charge available to member businesses. There is an open, bandwidth-limited, guest wi-fi network available for use throughout the facilities intended for events. There is a separate portal-protected network available for member businesses, access to which will be provided during onboarding. This access is intended for basic usage such as music streaming or browsing professional websites while working in the facilities. Use is limited to those activities only and only during reserved kitchen use.

Access (not activities) is logged and limited to member businesses only. Anyone found abusing the network be means of excessive bandwidth use (torrenting, gaming, other P2P activities), running publicly-available servers or services, or other activities will have their access revoked. Complaints by other users regarding inappropriate content will be handled under the harassment or quiet enjoyment policies.

Similarly, there are phones mounted throughout the facility. They are intended primarily for office use by Haddon Kitchen Incubators. However, brief local outgoing calls by members in the event of an emergency or unplanned situation are acceptable. Our phone access is metered monthly and all calls are logged. Therefore, members using the phone for calls of an excessive duration, frequent personal calls, or international calls will be charged a fee to recover those expenses.

At no time is any member authorized to touch the networking cabinet, modify or reconfigure any existing equipment, remove or unplug any existing equipment from the network, or plug any equipment into an open ethernet port for any reason whatsoever. Violations of this policy will result in termination of the member agreement.
